Matt Shaw joined the Council in November 2002 after stints at top public relations firms across the country. Shaw’s responsibilities include running all facets of communications for the association, whose stakeholders include Council members, the media, corporate communicators, educators, researchers and other industry organizations. Shaw joined the Council after working for several leading PR firms across the country.

Shaw worked as a reporter for the Lexington (MA) Minuteman and was a feature writer for Utah Business magazine. He earned his accreditation in public relations (APR) and graduated from Middlebury College with a B.A. in political science.
